We have hosted the most 5k and 10k running events since 2009.
It is our goal to provide runners with the very best race experience possible. We will always have well stocked aid stations and the friendliest volunteers.
Our mission is to host races of varied distances, as well as events of different levels of difficulty. We want runners and walkers alike to have fun while challenging themselves to be the best they can be, to realize that staying fit through running and walking can be enjoyable.
Charlie Alewine, Race Director, is a veteran marathoner and ultrarunner who has completed 365 races from 26.2 miles to 100+ miles in length.
Prior to meeting his mentor, Moo Lim, in January 2004, Charlie was a recreational runner who had done occasional 5K & 10K races. With encouragement from his friend, Charlie began running
marathons and ultramarathons. He completed his 100th marathon, with a few 50K's, in less than two and a half years.
In November 2006, at the age of 61, Charlie completed his first 100 miler, Mother Road 1, in the time of 26:40, and has now completed 18 -100 mile races altogether. On November 11, 2012, Charlie set his new 100 mile PR of 25:31 at the Run d' Amore 100 in San Martin, CA, then ran 100 miles again at the Ultra Centric 48 Hour race the following weekend. Also, in 2012, Charlie completed 63 races, more than he had done in any year prior to that. His old record was 54 marathons and ultras in 2005.
Charlie is helped in his endeavors by his sons, Andrew and Johnny, as well as fellow endurance athlete Marina White, the Webmaster Extraordinare! Marina is the Guinness World Record holder for being the youngest female runner to complete 100 marathons, at age 26. She has completed a marathon in all fifty states, as well as in ten countries, including all seven continents.
